Lesson Policies
A place in a lesson, group or squad is given on an acceptance by the student or a parent/guardian of the student of the following policies. If a student is booked into a class, the student or the parent/guardian of the student will be assumed to have read, understood and accepted the following policies.
Enrolments in lessons are for a minimum of 1 term. Students who withdraw from classes within their first term will be liable to pay a 20% Administration Fee on any refunded fees.
Students are not required to contact Reception at the end of each Term to retain their scheduled class. Students need only contact Reception if they desire to change their scheduled class or will be discontinuing classes.
Morning lessons and “2 – 4 yr.” old afternoon and Saturday classes will consist of a maximum of 4 students.
SWIMMERS reserves the right to cancel classes due to low class numbers or instructor unavailability. Students will be transferred to a class of an equivalent level and to an acceptable time and day.
Students will be refunded their booking fee, less any outstanding fees that may have been incurred, after they have had their final class. If a booking fee is not claimed within 2 years after a student has withdrawn from classes, the booking fee will be forfeit to SWIMMERS.
Places in a class are given on the acceptance by students they will attend all of their scheduled classes for a term. Terms basically correspond to government school terms.
No classes are conducted on public holidays whenever they fall due during a term.
SWIMMERS will endeavour to supply students with the instructor of their choice. When the class instructor is temporarily unavailable SWIMMERS will provide a suitable replacement. Students who choose not attend such classes will be required to pay the lesson fee. Make-up lessons are not available in these circumstances.
Students who do not attend lessons, groups or squad over a period of 2 consecutive weeks and who have not paid for those missed sessions will forfeit their positions unless suitable arrangements have been made with Reception.
Students who have fees outstanding at the end of a term may forfeit their position in a class.
Students who have fees outstanding at the end of the year will forfeit their position in a class.
All outstanding fees must be paid before a student can attend their next lesson; be reinstated into their class; or, is moved to a different class.
Weekly Payment
The following additional policies apply to students who elect to pay fees weekly.
Students are expected to attend their scheduled classes. Students are required to pay the appropriate lesson, group or squad fee each week of the term regardless of whether a lesson, group or squad is missed.
Students who do not attend a scheduled lesson, group or squad are required to pay the lesson, group or squad fee for the missed lesson when the student attends the next lesson or, at the latest, within 2 weeks or may be removed from the timetable.
Students who miss a lesson, group or squad and have paid for that missed class are entitled to a make-up lesson.
Make-up lessons must be taken within a period of 12 months with a maximum of 9 make ups being recorded at any one time. Make-up lessons must be taken in addition to regular lessons (i.e. they cannot be taken instead of lessons). Any make-up lessons not taken by the end of the 12 month period will be forfeited as will any which exceed 9.
A student who does not attend or cancels a scheduled make-up lesson will forfeit that make-up entitlement.
Students or their parent must report to Reception and pay for the class before the commencement of the class. They must ensure their attendance and their payment are noted.
Term Payment
The following additional policies apply to students who have made a Term payment.

Policy on Swim Nappies
In the interest of Public Health SWIMMERS has a strict policy in regards to children who are not toilet trained. These children MUST wear SWIMMERS approved swim nappies during lessons or they will not be permitted to enter the pool.
Policy on Smoking
SWIMMERS is strictly a “No Smoking” zone. No smoking is permitted anywhere within the boundaries of SWIMMERS.
